Best:
First points finish in a BC race.
or
Beacon Little Mountain Time Trial. Just a generally brill day!
Worst:
Alpe d'Huez, felt terrible from the off, no power, dressed in summer clothing to be met by blizzard at the top.
or
National TLI Time trial, everytime I tried to put power down I threw up a little.
or
Needing a good ride in the last club 10 of the season to guarantee my handicap points championship win, I was FLYING, half a mile an hour up at the turnaround and feeling stronger by the mile when my saddle fell off.0 -
Best moment.
Finished an Audax 100 on a shopping bike.
Worst.
There are no bad moments in cycling. They are "Learning experiences".0 -
Worst , hand injury meant 6 weeks off the bike, best, completing the T O Pembroke despite the 6 weeks off!0
-
Best: Getting my new De Rosa, after a 5 month wait, & taking it to Spain in late March for a great weeks cycling in glorious warm sunshine
Worst: Crashing into a car a week after coming back from Spain - triple, stable, pelvic fracture, 9 days in hospital, 2 months off work, 4 months on crutches, 11kg weight gain due to chronic boredom comfort eating.
Roll on 2011 - replaced the written-off De Rosa with a Colnago C59, which I picked up yesterday. Hopefully I'll keep it for a bt longer than 2.5 weeks this time!0 -
Good thread!
Best - two actually - 1) riding solo into a headwind to catch up to the back of a fast group over the Brecon Beacon moorland...I was so strong that day. 2) My first 'club run' with my new cycling team...grinned like a Cheshire cat for the rest of the day!
Worst - lying awake all night (and I mean ALL night) on the eve of the Marmotte. Every time I checked the clock another half an hour had dragged past and I realised all my months of preparation had been for nothing...My cycle racing blog: http://cyclingapprentice.wordpress.com/

Best:
1. 50 minutes up the Col de Joux Plane, knocking 8 minutes off my PB.

3. Getting onto the podium for one of the two time trials I managed to enter.
4. Beating Russ Downing over a mile.
5. Another decent finish on the RP 3 lap challenge board.
Worst - basically I have had such a hectic year it comes down to a list of the events that I have ended up missing:
1. Milan San Remo.
2. All the annual hill climb events.
3. Any racing at Crystal Palace (or anywhere else).
4. Big G sportive.
