Hi everyone.
Im trying to improve my performance on the bike. I just feel like im plodding along not really improving. My average speed is 16 mph and i want to improve on that.
I normally do one longish ride a week aprox 3/4 hrs and then a few shorter rides. I also want to do some sportives, so want to improve my endurance. Ive just got a turbo trainer but dont really know what kind of training is best. Ive heard of some dvd's workouts including intervals and books on the subject, but dont know what to go for.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

    Hi mate,

For your endurance, I guess all you can do is actually ride more.
For speed work, add some intervals into your training rides.
A search on here will probably find some info.

    For your turbo...Google Sufferfest.

I've got a 4 of them now and it makes the turbo sessions more interesting :)

Try hammering it up all the hills as hard as you can and recovering on the descents, going steady on the flats...

First DVD I'd try is angels from www.thesufferfest.com
