The weekend that is...
Not too bad a one for me. Friday night was spent wrapping up Mrs C in newspaper for Children in Need. I should explain that this was a "make a wedding outfit out of newspaper in 45 minutes" type of fun evening. We didn't win, but much fun was had, especially having to cut Mrs C out of the dress/outfit afterwards because someone had been a bit enthusiastic with the sticky tape...
Saturday, helped Dan (no 2 son) and his GF move into their house. Then went to Caffe Nerro's in Cardiff to see the Dunwell Brothers Band play. They're doing a tour of the UK, in various Caffe Nerro's establishments for FREEEEEEEEEEE. You just need to buy a coffee... Not bad, plenty of Crosby Stills & Nash influence.
Sunday, vegged out in front of the PS3 and finally found all the feathers in Assassins Creed 2. I was hoping to get AC3 on Friday, but I've been informed someone's buying it me for Cristmas.
Didn't get out for a ride, or do any fettling, however I should get the back-end of the NRS back this week, so next weekend is going to be a fettle-fest putting it all back together.
So to conclude, I'll rate mine as a 7/10.
How was yours?

saturday i went and collected my new car a 1.4 306. and sunday i went to sainsburys and bought myself food, and preordered gran turismo 5

Phase three of 'armour plated shed' started in earnest on saturday. I realised i havent been out on the bike for over a month (it's being stored at my mates place at the mo until the shed is finished) so i need to get it done.
A slight over-ordering issue in screwfix on sunday now means i have 200 coach bolts extra to what i needed, ho hum.
Along with more menial houswork type duty's, the rest of the weekend was spent playing NFS Hot Pursuit (which, after F1 2010, is actualy lots of fun, which is nice).MTB's, SC Blur LTc & Cotic Soul (26" definitely aint dead!).

Night-time is the right-time...
Go up somewhere high and look around when it's dark. They are much more visable then. TBH, I only managed to find 88 before having to resort to a map/walkthrough.0 -
The feathers are a biznatch to find! I really love that game though - it's one of the best I have played for a long time. 3 shall be acquired, but not until the new year for me. It's a good, long game with a decent story and nothing that annoying... Though I don't think the stand up battles are that assassin-like... Fun though
I shifted an oil radiator this weekend. From in front of the forks on a little subframe to a bracket I made under the normal radiator. Changed the oil at the same time (rather than swapping over the oil lines and removing the oil unintentionally all over everything...) Deciding whether I should epoxy paint the steel I've made it out of, or go to the effort of re-making it in stainless steel. It's an easy enough shape, but I'd have to find someone with a plasma cutter or spend an arseload on saw blades that can go through stainless!0 -
Weekend was full of win.
Main highlights were
Saturday morning - watching the disney buddy movies with the youngest and not moving for hours
Saturday afternoon - breakfast for dinner, potato waffles, sausages, bacon, black pudding, mushroom, egg, beans, tomatoes..
Sunday morning - epic dog walk
Sunday afteroon - roast pork for lunch with loads of crackling, great ride out in the dark followed by guiness.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Thought I'd entered the knitting forum by mistake.
Not one mention of riding - shame on you all.
My weekend - spent Saturday helping thel33ter fit his new Magura Wotans to his Enduro, and replaced gear cables and mech on my bike.
Had festive burgers and birthday swiss roll.
Sunday - spent the day traversing the Surrey Hills on a bicycle - (see Bikeradar logo if you've forgotten what one looks like), followed by less than fun bike cleaning session in the dark.
All in all an excellent weekend.I don't do smileys.

I did get out and ride on sunday, i was worse than a novice! slow, unconfident and kept putting my foot down  i do blame the man flu of course.

My weekend was spent shopping and having to watch X factor cos friends came over to watch it.
That is all.
cooldad, it was made very clear to the wife that this weekend will have earnt me a shed load of bike riding tokens, she has agreed to this. Call it an investment weekend."I ride to eat"0 -
I don't seem to be able to shake the current bout of manflu. It doesn't get really bad, but will just not go away.0

oooo i forgot i did a random act of kindness.
one of a random group of noob bikers was looking down at his mangled mech and a chian tool in confusion.
so i went to my car fished out my spare quick link and went to assist.
bodged the guy a single speed so he could do a couple of runs of lee quarry.
thought id make us bike types out to be nice and helpful.
then i was rewarded with the massive crash. did i mention i had a massive crash.0 -
Had the builders in at my flat. Got the car washed so now I don't want to use it. Went shopping. Ate sushi. Went to zoo on sunday followed by the pub.
Pretty lazy weekend to be honest. Off for a bit of sun in portugal next weekend though which shall be nice.0 -

Saturday I cleaned and lubed my gear cables.
Sunday I made a personal breakthrough. It seems lowering my seat to do descents messed up my mojo. I decided to leave it up and try a few descents. I attempted picnic table (a long decsent on a local trail) and faired quite well.0 -

Friday night was bike fettling. Saturday was up early to go to innerleithen, then couldn't be bothered so went for a ride up the local dh trails in the p***ing rain, got soaked and muddy and fell off a bit and repeatedly failed to ride the bits that are hard in the dry, had a great laugh, but on the downside encased the bike in a block of mud that weighs about a ton and now probably needs a jackhammer to get it off. Had a fairly sober night out...
Then sunday went off to Drumlanrig to give the Soul a retirement ride, what a great place, it was a bit wet and covered in soggy leaves so it was slippy as hell in places, with all the roots and loose surfaces... I've only been there in the dry before. Ace. Blew my knee up a bit again though. And sunday night was absolutely shattered so just vegged in front of the TV.
Not bad really.Uncompromising extremist0 -

Damn spanking good thanks
Finished work at 4 on Fri, from where I went straight up to Stab City to watch Harry Potter in the comfort of a leather recliner, I then had a lovely mixed grill type affair at Old Orleans. After that headed up the M5 to just outside Hereford where I had a lovely relaxing sleep in a lovely country hotel. in fact so nice, I've booked another night away there soon
Saturday was started with a full english, plus plenty of toast and coffee, and yoghurt, and oj, and crunchy nut cornflakes. After that we headed into Cardiff to shop, drink coffee and eat bratwurst, then finished the day at a lovely little turkish place down Cardiff bay
Yesterday was back to work, but double time so that evens it out
all in all 9/10 for the weekend for me0 -

Bosphorous? You really should go there on the 1st Thursday of the month...
The very same, what's the first Thursday of the month? is that Turkish night?
What the weekend did serve to do though was to hurry my ass up to get applying to Arriva to get down to Wales. I think Newport for work is going to be where I'm aiming at, halfway between Wolves and Milford, family there and a bit cheaper than Cardiff. Probably going to look for houses around Caerleon0 -

then get ready to part with a load of cash!! that's probably one of the most expensive areas to rent/buy. for example a 3 bed bungalow the gf's parents looked at the other day was £375,000
caerleon's a nice place though i know waylander will disagree but newport is a poo hole also
are you looking to buy or rent? my bro lives down behind newport leisure centre where they're building loads of new houses, it's real cheap there at the moment and they're re developing it with loads of new bars, shops and restaurants etc0 -
Sun Went to Delamere for my second ever off road ride spent some time on the 4x track and jumps before going off round the forest. Confidence defo grew from last week got some air and went alot faster.
Had my first off while riding through the forrest. Lesson learnt muddy puddles can sometimes be a 2ft deep hole that your front wheel gets stuck in At least my mate fell off at the same time to lol0 -
