Does the muckynutz come in white?

    Yes, see here.

I use a MuckyNutz 2.0 and a Cyrcaguard front & rear guard. Got fed up of getting soaked and with the amount of mud on my Camelbak. The Cycraguards look good in metallic grey and really work well. The bracket is meant to be better than the Crud. And works fine with rear suspension.

Riding this Boardman Team FS 2010. Also trying my first blog.
  • Cheers
  • Get one of these....

Ahahahaha :) thanks for sharing. I am thinking of modifying it to mount for my shoulders. That way it can protect my face from mud when I am walking to the train station in the morning.

As you can see it's Steve Peats own endorsement and you too can 'shred like Stevey' with one of these.

Actually, I own one but I only use my guards in the coldest of winter when the temperature of that water just ain't funny anymore, its actually very effective far more than other products I've tried. .
But you do have to wear the right gear when using a Moto X style fender such as that, here's me just before mounting my steed.

I'm not sure I understand the comment above about a rear guard having to be run at the top of the Joplin :? . I run mine where you'd expect it to be, on the post, below the moving part. It also helps to keep the Joplin nice and clean which should help it last a bit longer.

If I run it below the moving bits my rear wheel hits it at full travel (unless the guard is comically angled and therefore useless) which drove me nuts.

That crud guard is awful... Yes it does work, but not as well as a crown mounted guard, and also it's massively uglier than a crown mounted guard. The only reason it isn't a crown mounted guard is so they can still sell downtube guards with them IMO, rather than making a better guard that makes their other product useless
Wish Crud would make a proper front guard, it'd probably be good- my SKS shockboards are really effective and not too ugly but the mounting's pish so they always end up attached with cable ties.
