    Cancellara would definitely have a tough time in the hilly classics. However, wasn't the Beijing Olympic course rather hilly? He got a silver in he RR and gold in the TT...

    He came third in what was a weaker field than you'll usually find in the classics. Also it did have lots of climibing yes but it was 168km ... vs. 260km for Lombardy this year.
