Are you going for spuds or flats? I assume spuds, if so, don't bother with the XTR, they're not worth the extra cash just for a bit less weight. Apparently the XT ones have a habit of breaking too. Why not Crank Bro's? They do gold ones, and the cheaper one's are a bit lighter than cheap SPD's (I Think)

If you want gold bolts for the stem get some tastynuts m5 25mm Ti Gold ones they are £5.16 each tho.
Or Torontcycles will do Titinium bolts in gold for an extra $2 so thats $17.60 for 4 delivered0 -
