M5x25mm bolts seem far to big for a stem??0 -
measured against std bolts m5 4mm hex 25mm long0

That is going to be something else. Good work so far.0

Don't get the Ritchey pedals, not good at all. Small bearings that develop play v quickly.
They Ti bolts in your stem, or alu!?0 -
They are ti nitride alu from probolt0
-
badly_dubbed wrote:They are ti nitride alu from probolt
so they are Alloy do not ride the bike with those on.0 -
I did enquire about that, tarty bikes who pro bolt supply say the Alu bolts are trials grade and stronger than mild steel0

what utter bollocks trials grade please stronger than steel may be but not the steel the original bolts were made from.
i wouldnt ride that on the road let alone off road but hey its your face and teeth
Have a look here http://www.tastynuts.com/themes/probolt ... cation.pdf
Pro bolts Ti is twice as strong as there alloy bolts. and ti bolts are just slightly weaker that steel bolts.
like i said do not ride it0 -

read above
alloy bolts are not sutible for the job of stem or handle bars bolts0 -
That build is looking awesome. What wheels have you got planned?0
-
crest and pro2's i think
mowa bolts came today, had to see what they looked like against the rotor...not bad
just wish casette and chain would hurry up CRC are slooow with this one lol0 -
the reason crc is so slow might be because lots of people stocked up before the vat rise, I know I did and it took an extra day compared to normal. But it was still here by thursday.
I hope (get it) the hubs will be gold too. This build really is lovely and all the chances of pimping have been taken. That's certainly going to catch a few eyes on the trails. I know if that went past me, I'd stop and stare.0 -
ah good thinking!
thanks man that means alot
pro2's will 100% be gold also
