What makes me laugh is some toff on the radio has just said "its just what the country needs". Feck me how out of touch are these people. The next news story was about how GMP had to save 130 million quid and the impending job losses.0

I am no royalist, but I do think this will have a morale boost to the nation. The British public do like the Royals and weddings and this will go down well.0 -

Really, then why will tomorrow's papers be covered in the news. Remember newspapers only print things to advance sales - so according to your opinion, there will no coverage save for a factual entry on page 5. Get real, Britain will lap this up.0 -
I fear it’s going to be inescapable and very very very tiresome.Mañana0

I'm certainly no royalist either and thats why I couldn't give a toss who's marrying who. I'm more concerned about how we're (meaning me and the majority of this massively in debt country) are gonna get through the next couple of years. Yes the papers will be full of it tomorrow, but lets face it, the day after it'll business as usual.0 -
hopefully everyone will be watching it on tv that day and the roads will be empty for some good riding0

That's what happened with the Diana wedding certainly. I remember returning from a family holiday and we passed about half a dozen other cars on the roads between North Wales and the West Country during that afternoon.0 -

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/society/dreary-women-given-something-new-to-talk-about-201011163260/Martin Bishop, the left-wing Labour MP for Gateshead Toilet, started to say something about an establishment con-trick and starving Africans before everyone wandered off or began talking over him.0

Have you noticed the majority of the roving reporters covering this for the BBC are female? (I think the interview they broadcast was actually a shared one with other channels and the male reprter asking the questions is from ITN).0

Hang em, burn em (Fat boy Andy should sizzle a bit), I don't care what happens to the bunch of inbred freeloading twunts.
Im not much of a fan of the royals :roll:Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals! Except the weasel0 -
Here we go again - collective hysteria for three weddings was followed quickly by three break-ups: Margaret and Anthony Armstrong Jones; Anne and Mark Phillips; Charles and Diana.
I wish the young couple well but will their relationship survive the loving devotion of their fellow citizens?
Getting married I understand but the hysteria I just don't get. It's a bike ride for me on the day.T Farr0 -
My Mrs has just discovered the media coverage, I'm off to boil my head !!Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.
Faith is the denial of observation so that Belief can be preserved0 -
If only the military dictatorship in Burma had waited a couple more days, they could have released Ang San Suu Kyi and the rest of the world wouldn't have noticed...0
