Resistance Trainer with or Without Power Meter?

I'm almost settled on buying a Tacx Flow turbo trainer.
The main attraction is the power meter facility. I appreciate the power measuring may not be 100% accurate, but is is more beneficial to train using power levels, instead of using a heart rate monitor? (find it hard to keep in HR training zones!)

if the power is not accurate, then it is just a form of comparative measurement, you might as well just buy a good turbo, make sure you set up the same every session, and use speed as your training meter0

Are you going to buy new? Decthlon have them at £250, but won't show up on Google because of the way it is written...0

The reported power on the Tacx Flow is unlikely to be accurate, but you can get repeatable sessions on it. I use mine for sessions where I ride to a set power, and it is has been very repeatable.
You just need to make sure it is setup up the same each time, and you calibrate it each time after a warm up. Just avoid using the ergo mode, as this does seem all over the place.0
