The Allez isn't in hibernation fully as I took it out last week when it was cold but dry. The Tricross has been on commute duty for the last 3 weeks though. Time to clean the Allez and fettle the bits the need fettling.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

The Orbea is in the atic room, stripped, cleaned and ready for me to go over her with the T cut to remove the small scratches and then apply several layers of polish. The wheels and all the other components will receive the same treatment ready for some bling loveliness when the weather starts to get warmer again :

In the meantime the old Giant OCR is on duty.

Bought a Specialised Roubaix Expert a month ago, and have been a bit scared of taking out so far, weird I know.... This is my first proper road bike and will probably carry on using my Sirrus hybrid till the weather picks up. It looks so nice all shiny and clean that a daily stroking is still enough to make me happy......

I've got a new bike which is meant to be the winter bike to replace the old Dawes which deserves an honourable easy life from now on. Only its not getting it and the new bike is in danger of being put to bed next to the Look. Must fight this
    Faster than a tent.......
  • Yeah Felt has gone to bed for the winter as not that I have ever fallen off but I've never dared take the carbon baby out in the cold winter weather. So just purchased a winter bike - well the parts and now just gotta get it built up and ready to roll. Then it will be out everyday hopefully!
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
  • The summer bike (race bike) is slowly being dismantled for the winter - also I have some upgrades for her - carbon record shifters, carbon record r mech, carbon corus crankset and f/mech. The veloce I have removed is going on the new summer trainer, a Vitus razor frame from CRC I got for £75 with free p&p.
The old summer trainer will be the turbo bike, the winter trainer is a Fort I built up some weeks ago - the mtb needs a clean up, and the old Battaglin needs a winter project/rebuild..... I think that's about it.....
Oh yes, the TT bike (planet X) needs a clean and new bar tape..... that is all....

'natch. The Prince has it's own bedroom in my flat. Will maybe come out for the odd day when it's dry and there's no grit on the road, otherwise i'll mostly be on the Turbo this winter.
  • Man, I wish I had a best bike to put to bed. As it is, I have the Cannondale Bad Boy for road use, and the Orange P7 for offroad. Although, I'm actually kinda hoping that we get some epic snow again this year so I can break out the P7 and mix it up a bit.

Thought about riding in the Felt this morning, the sun was shining, but I didn't trust the weather forecast so stuck with the Ol' Rusty the winter hack, and will stick with it. It's heavier, but that's got to be good for excercise, and it will be on the commuter all winter unless it's raining then it the aluminium Kula knobbly mtb

The Felt is ready to go, it's clean, and oiled, but all I've done is reduce the tyre pressure. so if it is a stunning day I can be enjoying it within a few minutes :)
