i can cope with a long fire road slugga, my lardy ass can't cope with the steep rooty montser that is cwmcarn0 -
To be fair in the last 3 months they have smooothed out the really nasty slippy bits, which is a shame.
But before you boast how many times did you stop while climbing it? As most up locals just shoot up in one0 -

I'll be there at sometime tomorrow, just couldn't get up this morning!
Did you guys go today in the end?0 -
i rode cwmcarn today with silversladey -he destroyed me. he was flying up the hills and i was really struggling today we left the car park at about 8.30 and were back there by about 10 past 10.
i had great fun though, it's the first time i've ridden it for a while and i was suprised how busy it was there. fair play to sladey he had a pretty nasty off on the rocky section before the last down hill! his front wheel washed out and he went over the bars to land on a pretty big rock -hope you're ok mate
all in all i got muddy and had a good time0 -

Ouch that hurt, have got a 4" gash on my right shin, what looks like a bullet hole above it, a bit of gravel rash on my thigh a scrape on my arm and a bruise forming from halfway up my right thigh up to my 2nd rib, and it hurts like hell when i try and walk or breath to deeply. But at least you let me go first and you got to see me fly off
So in the Two outings we have been on this summer I have managed to crash twice
And I def need a new saddle now as there are two large chunks missing out of it
Did have a good time this morning mate will try and get out again when i have healed0 -
Had an AMAAAAAAZING ride today
Got some videos uploading as I type!
Was a fun day, lots of friendly people.... a chap in the carpark let me use his mobi pressure washer (which are ace btw) so I didn't reall have to clean the bike!
Funniest bit was watching a lad wearing clipless in front of me lose grip and roll over the edge just after the 1st bridge on the climb! (sorry if that was anyone on here, but it really made me chuckle)... I helped his mate drag the bike from the side of the slope hehe.0 -
Gonna be riding Cwm Carn this coming weekend, what are the conditions like at the minute?
Last time I was there it was VERY wet and the trail held up amazingly!0 -
Cwm Carn drains really really well.
Today was great, lots of the puddles that were there last weeks have been dug out. Just watch out for the roots, they're very slippy.0 -

Still buzzing from the ride... was brilliant yesterday!0 -

That on Saturday or Sunday?
I went on Sunday and had to squeeze between 2 vans
the trails were very quiet though so I have a feeling there may have been a DH event on?
The uplift vans were heaving!
BTW.... FOR THOSE THAT HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET>>>>>
I even had a dry run of my kit

that was yesterday, my boss was there a bit later than me and he said that he thought there was a downhill event on cos he saw a few casualties0 -
Was there yesterday, had a great lap!
Trail was so busy! I thought it was meant to get quiter as we go into Winter???
One girl and her dog caused a bit of a traffic jam near the end.
Loads of maintenance has been going on, the first section is much flatter and drier. The new top layer was bascially gloop which made for a laugh.
Met some guys COVERED in mud, they were on their 3rd lap.0 -
i think we were some of the first people around. i passed 4 young lads having a fag half way around and 2 guys further on up that caught us up after silversladey had his crash but didn't see anyone else on the trail0

maybe we should start a vicious (sp?) rumour that cwmcarn is closed/boggy/has killer sheep or something so that they all fook off0 -
Kev,
Legend lets do it. We will have to decide a suitably scary thing... All the sheep have mad cow desease? bamooooooo!0
