list is endless ( in no order)

    Red Dwarf
    Simpsons
    Blackadder
Father Ted ( Dougal should have had his own show)
    Fawlty towers
    Aint half hot mom
    Porridge
    Gaffer
Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy

why do we get crapppy modern day repeats when we could bring back the classics
(except the simpsons which seems to have been repeated more times that you can shake a sh*tty stick at )

No it wasn't. I hated it and found it hideously unfunny, as did most people I know

Really?? you chose the fast show and green wing, and you're moaning about me picking friends????? Maybe we'll ask someone for the viewing figures for the shows you picked, versus friends. I'm willing to bet anything that friends was way more popular, and has more fans than both of them added together.

    Bzzztttttttt!

This is basically impossible. What about top 3 America, UK, animated etc etc?

    Blackadder
    Family Guy
    30 Rock

Do panel shows count? 'cos Buzzcocks and HIGNY would be up there as well.

Popularity means nothing: the Sun is the best read newspaper but it's total shite. Likewise the X Factor is most watched TV programme at present but it is utter garbage
  • Damn - i forgot Fast show - always pretty much kept me laughing from start to end.

In the 70s two of the most popular comedy shows were "On The buses" and "Man About The House" <-- not generally considered classics these days. The genius we know as Spike Milligan was shunted to the back end of BBC2 where 3 people and a dog watched him.

Laurel and Hardy - The Music Box
Laurel and Hardy - Busy Bodies
Laurel and Hardy - Thicker Than Water
Laurel and Hardy - Laughing Gravy

There have been some great comedies since but these guys were the pioneering Kings of Comedy.

    1. Fawlty Towers.
    2. Father Ted.
    3. Blackadder.

PS:- Popularity means nothing. It just shows that a massive amount of people have nothing better to do. Fawlty Towers v Friends? Pah! No contest.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.
