Stella used to be the hobo's choice along with Breaker here in sunny Dud-lay but then went all upmarket.

TBH I don't like the 4% Stella I must be immune to it it has no effect :)

stella in france/europe is a lovely, light, refreshing affair.

the uk stella is pure muck. on a par with fosters and carling in the cheap last resort beers.

I was in Canada for a bit and they are campaigning it out there as a super posh beer and charge $12 a pint!

One of my locals has Erdinger and Veltins, nice lagers. But most pubs are Carlingsberg, Fosters and Becks.

i was in the irish bar in whistler and ordered a round of 4 Guinness'.

only did that once before drinking only local stuff.
i dont think i saw any change out of $50 CAD.

Been there my friend - 3 guiness and a white wine please - WHAT!!! think I handed over 2 20's and got a handful of shrapnel back.

I had Guiness at the irish bar in Vernon (mid BC) and that was sensibly priced - more than local but not hideously costly.

i was on excercise in leuven in belgium about 12 years ago and we drank a lot of stella, i swear it tasted different but it might have been a placebo, like the old "guiness tastes better in ireland" sketch

Our local Booze shop sells the 5.2% conti stuff in cans and it tastes loads better than the "brewed under licence in the UK" 5% crap 8)
Sonic will know the shops

But Guiness does taste better in Ireland, I was told "Its because the quality of the sh*t is better in Irelands water."

had a txt message the weekend

This guy goes up to a woman in a bar and whispers in her ear,
" I'd like to fill your f@nny with Stella and then drink it all "
The woman runs over to her husband and tells him,
"Aren't you going to kick the sh!t out of him " she asks
" Nah" he says " I'm not fighting any f@cker that can drink that much Stella! "

Guiness is available in 100 countries and is brewed in nearly 50 of them, using locally sourced ingredients like water. Therefore, one could argue (and we know you will) that any Guinness brewed outside Dublin is materially different. The top five selling markets? (In order) Great Britain, Ireland, Nigeria, the U.S. and Cameroon. We were surprised by those two, too

My mate’s job was to fly all over the world teaching people how to serve the perfect pint of Guinness, 8)

He eventually had to give it up for health reasons

If the barstaff serve you a pint of Guiness with a bloody shamrock pattern in the head are you allowed to punch them.
