I got a leaflet today advertising a series of mini sportives as a way of getting some winter miles in. www.minisportiveseries.co.uk
Its thru performance cycles, £6 per ride - signed routes, feed zones goodies etc. 1 event in oct/nov/dec/jan/feb. Rides are in the cotswolds - I may give a couple a go.

knock out 60-70 miles on your own and save £6 per week.....0

I think the idea is to group ride, encourage each other, have support etc.... esp if the weather is a bit grotty - instead of giving up or not riding, when part of a large group certainly I would feel more like continuing to the finish. Just a bit of a leg up to get the winter miles in...0

Not a bad idea I guess, but the problem is that you just don't know if it's going to be possible to go for a ride on a given day in November/December/January/February due to ice/snow.
Also it says there are no feed zones.More problems but still living....0 -
Sounds like a club run to me
Not really my thing but when i do them they are always 50 miles+ because the club are based in a town 15 miles away for a start0
