I also use a Hope seat post clamp, no trouble with it at all.2019 Ribble CGR SL

The bars were looking a bit tired with some corrosion and paint flaking off around the ends of the grips, and the grips themselves had seen better days!
Old bars and grips
Fitted Easton Vice bars which are slightly wider and also got some custom Surperstar grips to match the originals
Also got a GoPro HD now0 -
Lovely bike! Two guys I ride with have zesty's (one the same as yours, the other a year older 514) and have to say they look even better in the flesh. There another on my test ride list for when I get a full sus.0

Yes they're the mid rise ones, 30mm rise the same as the Lapierre Rizer pro bars that came with the bike. The Vice are very slightly wider at 711mm, the Rizer Pro's were 680mm.Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 10- CANYON Nerve AM 6 20110 -
Well, after nearly 18 months of ownership and something in the region of 2500 miles the drive train was overdue a bit of an overhaul! Started off with the bottom bracket, it was pretty loose by the time I had it replaced with an FSA press fit jobbie from Twelve50 bikes (I took the bike in on the way to a ride at Delamere, despite being very busy the lads fitted it that day and I got out on the trails ). The next thing to go was the bearings in the Fulcrum freehub, I replaced the whole thing as the bearing kit was nearly as much as the whole body!
A couple of weeks ago I noticed my chain was beginning to slip every so often, I probably should have checked the chain earlier (I should probably invest in a chain checker for the future) as it was well over the 1/16th of an inch tolerance for stretch, in fact laid out next to the new chain it was a full link length of stretch longer Having learned with my old bike that a new chain would probably mean a new cassette I ordered and fitted one of those too. Shiny.
A quick test ride in the road, which saw me nearly crush the family jewels landing on the seat, confirmed I also required a new middle chainring. This was ordered and fitted last week and along with the recent new XT shadow rear mech the bike now feels and rides like it did the day I bought it.0 -
Not updated this for a while! Since April the bike has had another bottom bracket along with some new rubber (Bontrager XR4 on the rear and a Maxxis Minion DHF on the front). The Fizik Gobi seat has also gone and been replaced with a Maddsion Flux and the Wellgo MG1 pedals have made way for some Superstar Nanotech flats. We didn't really get much of a summer but I got out when I could and also did the Isle of Man End2End again in September
Noticed on a ride last week that the back end felt a bit loose, and when washing the bike afterwards I could feel play in the rear pivot where the chain stay meets the seat stay in front of the rear hub. A quick search and I found this handy guide for changing the bushings on another forum. Ordered the parts from WeLoveLapierre.com and got to work changing them today
With the air let out of the rear shock the stays can be separated easily
Out with the old and in with the new!
Feels nice and solid again now, no lateral play at all 8)0 -
Nice Zesty,
Liking those anodised pivot bolts and. Carbon rear mech guide a nice touch as well.0 -
You managed to get a Reverb for £130!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My trade price is more than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

After 3 years my forks were a little past their best... They had the usual scoring on the inside of the left stanchion and had started leaking oil and a bit of air (serves me right for never having them serviced!) Anyway I sent them off to Mojo and got them back today with a shiny new Kashima upgrade, they put new stickers on 'em too
Shiny new bits0 -
Nice one, get some pictures up! Its good to see a bike being used properly. Any frame issues with your zesty?0

How? Did you have incriminating pictures of the MD with farmyard animals?
Is that a right side remote mounted upside down on the left? That's what I was thinking of doing if I buy a Reverb.0 -

There was a discount code at the time which knocked some off the price which was already cheap, it didn't last long though as CRC got onto everyone using it! And it is a RH remote mounted upside down on the left.0 -
Mucho bargain, wish I'd known about that at the time.
I'm thinking the upside down remote would be less susceptible to crash damage (have you seen the price of a replacement remote...), but in your pic it looks like it would actually be a more natural position for reaching with your thumb too?0 -
The reverb remotes should always be mounted on the left under the bar. Better protected from damage and it's much more natural position wise. I've run mine underneath since I bought it and have had zero issues.0

You say they're better protected from damage, 3rd ride out mine sheared off when I crashed and my knee hit it...0 -
Lol. Swings and roundabouts, I guess.0
