which one is better :

a twice a week ride with a total distance of 50km++ per ride with an average speed between 25-30km or ;

a four times per week ride with a short but fast 30km++ distance with an average speed between 30-40km plus one session of 50km++ distance with an average speed of 25-35km, totaling in five times per week?
ride like the wind... with the wind... to the wind...

    well the second option will probably get you fitter, but better for what? What are your ambitions in cycling?

  • That entirely depends on what you want to do, the question being; better for what?

    edit: oopsy just read the response above :wink:

    For maintaining fitness + building strength, the shorter but faster and more frequent rides will most likely be the 'best' for what you want to do.
