Yes, it's often cold in the morning but today it looks set to be damp and cold all day with mist in places too. The descent from Sormano should be a bit manic.

It's a slightly harder finish this year, which might play into the hands of a climber like Evans.0

I'm not sure if it's a harder finish, rather the inclusion of the Colma di Sormano should reduce the number if riders in contention for the win. Anyone dropped on the Ghisallo is unlikely to get back on as the descent from there to the start of the new climb is relatively short.
That said, the lakeside road after the descent of the Sormano is relatively flat so a well organised group might get back on.

The Ghisallo is such a great climb. Steep in places but go on a good day and the views are stunning. It's up in two parts, a long steep section then 2km down and flat through a village before the final kick up to the Chapel and cycling museum.0
