    Contador is not.

He heard Spanish meat wouldn't be in the post-presentation buffet.

I just hope for more than just 1 or two surprises.

The Tour needs a few leftfield ideas, beyond just a big summit finish near the end of the Tour.

How about only having clean riders? That would make a change, apparently.....

A tour with only 20 riders will be a bit dull

    Downhill TT.

Likelihood of an Alpe d'Huez TT? (There is talk of doing the'Alpe twice this year...)

How about doing it with no support vehicles, a set of tyre irons and mult-tool, spare tube and a C02 cannister, on open roads with white van man, surrey mums and OAPs who can't see where they are going? And they have to drive for 2 hrs in heavy traffic after working in an office to get to the start line. if they're late then tough they are DQ'd.

On second thoughts, that is misery isn't it?

Hope the star guests have their private planes fueled up before they head for Paris, looks like the strikes are beginning to cripple the country

Also, the Giro route presentation is this Saturday, so a few weeks earlier than usual. :)

    First week looks horribly dull.

Seems to be all weighted on the final week.

It's a lot more evenly distributed between Pyrenees and Alps than was posited. Four MT finishes (2 in each) plus Super-Besse?

posited where? the big shame is that it's exactly the route that has been rumoured (posited?) for a long long time.
Hopefully, there will be some - or at least one? - surprise hidden in the detail.
