edited October 2010 in Commuting chat
As I am sat in an operations managers workshop meeting thing - I have decided to crisp up the chicken sandwich I have selected from the buffet...

Do I go for: Salt and Vinegar or Ready Salted

*I may not be interested in the content of this meeting*

Give me your flava combos....

Good call: Quality of crisp is essential.

Mccoys are a good choice, flavour and texture....I am now trying with Hula Hoops, not going too well. :-(

    neither suitable for chicken.

needs some kettle chip/sensations type flavour - mesquite, or mabe something like parmesan and rosemary.

or those lovely paprika flavoured ones which seem readily available in mainland europe supermarkets.

proviso - no crisps if there is any mayo.....

i must say that usually i find work buffet sandwiches to have nicely crisped up of their own accord, under the lights!!

Ready Salted is suitable for all evenualities; it's a good honest, hard working crisp and will happily complement chicken.

I'm a traditionalist and so tend towards a classic walkers cheese and onion approach

tyrells ready salted if I am feeling well posh

Myself, I'd like to declare any food based topic on the commuting boards as as strictly not OT.

Pasta carb loading is for amateurs. The pros are into potatos in bread, be it chips or crisps..

God, I'm so making chip butties when I get home tonight....

No longer available here at least but was the THEE best crisp in the world. FACT. Even better and yes I do mean this - than salt and vinegar walkers in a tuna mayo sarnie.

    shut it toff..

I'm a little disappointed, I thought this would be about grilling sandwiches to crisp them up a bit

come now, the true cogniscenti must be aware that as well as adding crisps, another thing that makes any sandwich better is toastage!

You have renounced your poshness with the Jalfrezi toastie - agreed, I will be trying one very soon.

However, had you crisped it up with a bag of Cheese and Onion - you would have discovered a taste sensation and be accepted in working mens clubs in Rotherham....

*some of the above is not entirely ture*
  • slightly distressed hula hoops and salad cream are an excellent chckeny accoutrament.
