You just made me think of something. WHY does Fiat sponsor Yamaha?

Maybe something to with a guy called Valentino Rossi, Fiat own Ferrari and Rossi has driven the Ferrari F1 car a few times.

Though rumours are Fiat won't next year when Rossi goes to Ducati.

Is it all down to Rossi then? I didn't realise he had any ties with Ferrari.
Still kind of odd for a car company to be sponsoring a bike team.
If he switched to Honda, would they still sponsor him?

    Carbon Nomad for AM fun
Specialized S-Works Epic for XC races
    Specialized Demo 8 for DH

I would then spend the following 12 months riding all the best MTB trails in the world split between following the F1 circus around the world.
  • Motorbike wise: full SM'd KTM Duke 990, with basically every part badassed to the max.

I'd be all over about 15 different bikes as well, probably top of list Whyte 146.

I can't believe if money is no object people would buy Hope and XT.

It could be worse, people could mention Specialized, Trek and Giant! oh wait!
  • I'd have a De Rosa. Full and top notch campag spec. just sooo sexy.

A bianchi to mess around on in the winter.

    A grifter
    A BMX
hate them but then could pretend to be in the 'Red Hand Gang' again and go around slepping people on the back.

a thai bride to clean the camelback after each ride and lube my drivetrain.

oh, and the most expensive Cannondale I could find.

I dunno if The Doctor would go back to Honda :P

Fiat isn't one of Vale's personal sponsors, so I doubt they would follow him everywhere. It just seems that next year with an Italian sports superstar on an Italian bike would be logical to have a major Italian sponsor. His ties with Ferrari come from him testing the F1 car, it was rumoured he'd drive the other year when Massa was injured.

And as for car companies sponsoring other sports, didn't Volvo sponsor Cannondale for a very long time?
