 I must agree with the sentiment here, when I'm out I always give a verbal recognition of another biker & I'm usually ignored .Punctured the other day - wheel out- changing tube & two "gents" sailed past , completely covered in ads. & colour - completely ignored me, now I could have been have been struggling etc. they couldn't have cared less, I suppose that's what you get when ride for team aldi. So to the biking brethren of Barrow/ulverston/Cumbria be a little more polite as it doesn't cost anything.

I never stop on the motorway when I see a car on the hard shoulder. Does that make me a bad motorist?

Yes, to be honest I always ask if I see a cyclist who appears to be stuck on the side of the road, unless I'm in a hurry or mid interval, but I don't expect every cyclist who passes me to ask if I'm ok....

Guys lets stop this thread. I t was a concrete culvert that I fell into, yes I was wearing a helmet, both the cyclists were behind me so obviously saw what happened but as freddiegrubb says in his case they couldnt have cared less. One was in Quickstep gear the other looked like Sky kit but I was more concerned about my arm. Calmed down now .
