  • What a great race, really enjoyed that! And well done Thor, be good to see him in the jersey next year!

(and yes, terrible commentary, wonder if they've caught Gilbert yet?)

Gutted about Freire not winning or even on the podium for PTP - doubted between thor and oscar for hours - excellent race though

Fair play to cadel, he's done the jersey justice.

Time for a nap I think.
  • oh dear, McQuaid presenting the jerseys, wonder if he'll be able to manage that?

Pity the ozzies only had the first 5 seconds of the Norwegian anthem on record...
  • How on earth does Hugh Porter manage to continually get work on TV?

I guess we now have a World Champion that will show the jersey in the Classics and Grand Tours which is good.

Make a complaint. If people don't contact the editors at the BBC they won't know he gets is so wrong.

That was some race. Hushovd's a worthy winner.

FF, you can win by attacking but as Hennie Kuiper said, racing is about licking your opponent's place clean before you start on your own.

Having to present medals? That would be an ecumenical matter.

Well played Thor. Won't be quite the same as having see Evans competed in the Grand Tours wearing it, but it can't get much worse than Ballan.

looking back at the three road races it's a strong sprinters lap, and if it has to go to a sprinter, Thor must be your kind of sprinter, right?

Absolutely. I want the WC to be able to fly the colours in a variety of races, all through the year and to race inspired.

Kleber- the person at the BBC to complain to is belinda rogerson. Motogp fans have spent a long time trying to get rid of Charlie cox. He is horrendous. The BBC are loyal to their staff. No matter how many emails and petitions were sent the cock still has a job.

The motogp is on now on bbc2 but most fans will wait until the re-run on eurosport.

Yes. I desperately wanted Gilbert to take it. But if it has to be a 'sprinter', hands down Thor, or Boonen. Aggressive riders who can mix it up all year in different races. Thor more so and from what I read, he isn't too interested in the sprints anymore, preferring to focus on the Classics and such.
