A few years ago I pedaled home after a meal out with colleagues - all paid for by our QC. Lots of red wine, lots of very rich food - pheasant breast in black cherry sauce etc etc..... got hiccups on way home. Suffered horrendously - felt like my chest was caving in.... gaviscon was the answer - from the local cottage hosp....!0
