Sorry are you saying you commited the offence of riding whilst under the influence of alcohol and then saying you are daft for doing it? I think it's more daft you've put it in writing in a public forum with several police officers who regulary post on here.

Ther are plenty of speeding show offs who have lost their licenses after posting on YouTube. I wouldn't risk it myself. I'm sure there are plenty on here who will know the legal position

To be fair to the OP, he isn't bragging about it, he's saying what can and does happen if you ride drunk.

I know of one: Videoed himself doing silly speeds down a motorway some in England (nicely including his vehicles dash).

Big reason he got caught: He'd passed an off duty rozzer who had attempted to give chase and who memorised the plate and vehicle. When the video surface and they went round to the blokes house the first thing he said when he opened the door was "Is this about the Youtube video?".

I think in that case the evidence was slightly greater than what we have here ;)

*Just knows NapD is on phone to cyber crime rozzers atm* ;)

OP, you're not daft for posting, don't mind the wise-ass comments.

Respect to you for admitting you f***ed up! I don't know how you managed to ride home after rum, I can't even tie my shoelaces after that stuff! I woke up this morning in Altrincham and didn't know where I was, couldn't imagine riding my bike even now

Wise ass am I? Well I was only offering some advice. We sit in front of our screens tapping away thinking we are invisible to the world and we can post what we like, well I have news for you Ben the real world can have a nastyhabit of turning up and biting you on the bum. Encouraging people to post stuff that might get them into trouble isn't so wise in my point of view. Would have you been quite so encouraging if he had knocked down a pedestrian and hurt them?

Again, it would be a cautionary tale if he had done. It's not as though the guy is remotely pleased with himself :?

    Markos chill out.

Your post stinks of wise-ass, I never said you are one; don't be so paranoid.

Riding, driving, posting, wanking while under the influence is ill-advised I won't argue against that for a minute - okay maybe wanking - but nobody here has encouraged it. In fact I referred to the OP's actions as a f***-up and he agrees.

Sunday afternoon mate, have 5 and don't be so touchy.

Fair enough and as i said I don't have an issue with what he done, but my point is i would have thought twice about posting it in the first place

As I said newtezz, I don't have a problem with what you done, I would have been locked up years ago for some of the things I done in my motorcycling days. At least you know it was something you regretted. I was just worried about you posting it thats all.

It's stupid to cycle when you are pissed. I always take the car when I know I am going to get rat-arsed, no danger of falling off and you can have a little doze on the motorway if you switch the cruise control on.

I was in that sort of state the other week. I didn't have the car, so tried to walk home: I was okay until someone stood on my fingers.

    Oh for goodness' sake.

    Here we go yet again.

Poor Alex is going to be a busy man if he's to 'police' the entire forum.

Plus, he's busy enough closing airport terminals down and p*****g people off.

My housemate did that and wrote off his bike. And face.

Hilarious seeing him the next morning. Wet myself laughing, then called an ambulance.
