TT Vs Road bike Heartrate differences?

Bonjourno,
I have recently started uploading my training rides and races from my heartrate watch and I've noticed a pattern, even with full efforts on my TT bike my heart is maxxing out at 6 beats less than on the road bike.
Is there any real reason for this or is it that one of my bike's aren't setup in the right position? Just a note but my road bike feels perfect and the TT is as comfortable as I can get it(how comfortable can you be whilst trying to squeeze every ounce through to your legs?).
Cheers

Grip the pedastal not the toilet seat for maximumm comfort.....0 -
My guess would be position relative to horizontal/vertical. You are flatter on your TT bike and thereby heart rate is lower - even lower for swimming adn higher for road bike - more upright and even more so for running.
There is a chance your road bike position is hampering you in some way - the only way to check would be to measure your power output (as opposed to speed) (did I just write that? )
Its something I've noticed on the turbo - if I sit up the pulse goes up even tho' I maintain same output. Could be similar for you!0 -

That also explains a lot. Spot on I think, or at least I'll happily assume that's the cause.
