    Nice mate.

How do you find the wheels? May be getting some...
  • The wheels are the assaults and are good value for the money strong and light good looks too.
Tried zipps, mavics but thought these looked the best
As with any deep sectioned wheels make sure you grip the bars tightly on a windy day!

I had a set of Zipps (808 rear, 404 front) but recently sold the rear... Fantastic wheels but hardly ever used the rear as I use a powertap for racing/TTs and being tubular, I didn't use them for everyday riding...

These could be what I'm looking for for 'best'...
  • i never understand how these wheels make you faster?

surely you would loose time if you had side winds?

i love the bike and the wheels look great

I take it you haven't tried them then!

Massive difference on my TT times...

  • Cervelo R3 or R3SL everytime.

  • i have never tryed them but i dont understand the science in how they make you go faster,
and surely they slow you down on side winds, or your using more energy trying to keep in a striaght line,

I want some i think they look cool, i just dont understand how they work

You would probably be best googling 'wheel aerodynamics' or something. A crosswind only really causes steering problems, not necessarily slowing you down.
  • Gourgeous bike and I can confirm they are fast... i've been overtaken by a few of them

This TBH. Love the understated frame colours.

Am I correct in thinking the R3SL is the 'hill climbing' frame? I am sure I read a review of this in a recent Pro Cyclist magazine.
  • Loverly bike, that. But maybe in need of a seatpost with layback.

The long stem works fine for me ...don't want to mess with the handling.

Looks much better without the decals. Although it needs some red to make it faster
