Should he or shouldn't he?

Is it allright for militants in other countries to burn effigies of Prime Minister/President/Pope and national flags, but when a US pastor wants to do it, there is an outcry.

It's not alright for militants in other countries to do it, we see them as extremists when they do that.

This guy has the right to do it but it'll simply show he's as dull and intolerant as whoever he's attempting to make a statement against.

I love the fact that Sarah Palin has denounced the action.

you know you are in trouble is she thinks you are a nutter!

  • There's an outcry when people in other countries do it too.
  • Regardless of where religion and whether or not it's 'right' (or whether or not you have the right) comes into it, can't people just see that it's just not sensible?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should...

EDIT: Side question, salted or sweet?

  • Front row seats and 3d specs for this one. Watch those opinions fly right by!!!

I don't agree with him doing it, but that doesn't change the fact that he has the right to.

I always get half and half! the sweet is too sweet..that salty is too salty...a mixture is just right.

Popcorn is sweet. It is not savoury. Salt on popcorn is wrong.

    Porridge - jam realy
    French toast - sugar

    and a few more

    Bacon - brown sauce
    Eggs - red sauce
Sausages - brown if sliced in bread, red if if uncut in a roll +/- red if with egg

Sausage + Egg + Bacon = both sauces.

Any more important questions needing answered?

He probably has the right to do it, but shouldn't.

The authorities should be able to stop him under some type of incitement law.

Sweet or salted, it's worthless as a foodstuff. Only good for packaging.

Back on topic, what with this, the scary proportion of Americans who think that Barack Obama is a 'secret' Muslim, and the 'Ground Zero Mosque' that isn't a mosque or at Ground Zero, and the USA is really conforming to stereotype at the moment. Double facepalm doesn't quite do it justice.

Would it be ok to pre-emptively burn the pastor?

More importantly, would he burn better sugared or salted?

You are referring to the "sugar" lot, aren't you?

Never seen such a dumb statement to try and get an argument going.....

    Salt and sweet Koran
    Buttered Bible
    Red Torah

If you burn the Koran, no matter if you put sugar or salt on it, it will still be burnt.

I LOVE this thread. The title and number of pages make it look like a big debate about a big news issue.

But most of it is about popcorn

btw it should be salted + butter

(P.S. Salted generally, but after a while I think it gets a bit too much. Maybe 75% salted 25% sweet?)
