RPCC Ride of the falling leaves poll

Evening all, so the clues in the title. How about a poll for the RPCC falling leaves ride? I think Will is pushing to coincide it with the actual race itself on 16 October and watching it in a cycling bar/cafe in town.
I'd prefer it to be earlier - sometime in September - to try and latch on to some better weather. (I'm also biased, as I can't make the 16th...)
Either way, the ride will take in one of the classic RPCC routes and be topped off with a couple of jars of ale in a good pub. Plenty to choose from, but the one on Richmond Hill overlooking Petersham has great views.
Feel free to suggest more dates, these are the ones I can make...
Same rules - anyone welcome, speed 16mph - 18mph, wait on hills and a cake stop is likely...
My votes for 18/19 Sept

A weirdly unpopular thread!
Anyway - for me, any of the October dates.0 -
That's what I thought...
Late summer low motivation syndrome. Or something.0 -
Of those dates, any Saturday but this one coming is fine with me (can't really do Sundays). We could always have one on the 18th Sept and another on 16th October. The more beer he better.0
-
Now there's a good point. The more beer the better0
-
Yes - 18/19 is good.
Really want another CCC before the year is out also if anyone is up for it?0 -
Could be persuaded into a CCC despite bailing the last one - that cake looked awesome!0
-
Can't do the 9th / 10th October but otherwise the rest are good for me.
Another CCC would be fun too as I say most weekends suit - when works for others?
Finally who is around this weekend? Looking to head out Saturday 8 am as normal0 -
Im up for some CCC action too. As per the thread title, ideally a 2nd October works best for me. Looks like 16th, 17th looks popular, I should be ok for that.
Any idea of the route at this stage?0 -
I'll be around this Saturday, albeit I can only join the ride up to Abinger / Leith (depending on what route is planned). At that point I'll be heading for the Mole Valley to Reigate on the way to my in-laws near Croydon.0
-
Yep, up for Saturday - 8am is good.0
-
Another CCC this year sound good. Less food on the cake stop this time though.
I'm up for 8am Saturday but will have to turn back early as have to be home by 11am. Got to drink lots of beer and then watch the mighty Boro stuff QPR.0 -
You're going to need a load of beer to get through that... Crikey.0
-
Gents - if tomorrow is still on, can I meet you in Esher as before for the CCC (on the green before you turn right onto the Portsmouth Road)? I'll be there in good time for 8.30.
Cheers0 -
Nick - I'm definitely going to be out so wil see you there at 8:30 or so0
-
Good ride yesterday chaps - don't know the stats, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, despite the soggy and blowy conditions...
Just realised that next Saturday is the Tour of Britain final day finale in Docklands, which might have a bearing on falling leaves suggested date!0 -
I'm still shocked at how little energy I had! Self-flagellation in the form of intervals a couple of times this week I think...
Nice to meet you Dave0 -

I'm up for a ride, either saturday or sunday if anyone joins me. However, if saturday, it implies an early finish for me to meet my afternoon appointments.0
-
-
I can't make Sunday morning - I'll be having to head out early afternoon instead
Have fun0 -

A friend has persuaded me to sign up to the Dulwich Paragon ride of the falling leaves on 3 October:

A small RPCC peloton would be good to see0 -
Sounds good. I doubt if I'd be able to get there until a bit before 9 given public transport on a Sunday though - OK?
We should fit in beers afterwards!0 -
9 am start sounds suitably civilised. I'll probably cycle to the start. And beers afterward sounds like a plan.0
-
That definitively sounds like a great plan. And riding from home might be the best option for me too.
Just not sure about the beers...0 -
I've signed up. Beers aren't compulsory JO9...there are many alternatives.
Tequila, gin or whisky for instance.0 -
Might have to duck out of this one afraid guys - If that changes, I'll update closer to the time.
Btw, good to meet you Nick. Good ride the other week. How was this weekends jaunt? Oh, and has anyone got James' mobile - I owe him a tube...0 -
Sounds like a few of us are in for the Dulwich Paragon ride - jolly good
Who is around this weekend? I'm planning to head out on the Saturday, normal time and place0
