TV coverage started now. Eurosport began with a nice tribute to Fignon.

4 riders in the break... Cataldo, Roels, Bonnafond and surprise surprise, another Andalucia rider, Sergio Carrasco.

The final km of today's stage looks brutal. LL Sanchez has tipped J-Rod.

Yup the finish looks very tough....J-Rod seems like a good bet....

Is anybody else having problems with HD on the Eurosport Player?-two days in a row now that I cant get it working-the 'normal' channels are working fine though :?:

Yup - thought it was just me - 2 days of "4001 Error" or similar (from memory). All other channels working fine.

    Sastre in the 2nd group.
  • Of course, we don't get explosive racing like this, during the first week of the Tour, because they are all big names and much fitter.
