07 Dodge Avenger with a boot mounted rack that is scratching the car to bits, I'm after some kind of american day van next year for biking and holidaying purposes though. In the meantime, i may get a detatchable tow bar and a towbar rack instead0

07 Ford Focus TDCi
Managed to stuff in my bike, 5 people and all the associated camping gear for 2 night stay the other weekend! Bloody surprised it all went in. Think you could fit two bikes in - both wheels off + seat post out in the boot alone without needing to drop the rear seats.0 -
1988 peugeot 205, with the front wheel off the bike and the seats folded down. or for 2 bikes, both wheels off both of them.
or if mum is driving, good old ford cmax0 -
This seems to manage to transport just about everything I need to shift, theres an ex-army Sankey trailer to go behind it as well if need be.
I can get mine and the kids MTBs in the back ready to ride but more often than not they get chucked up on the roof.

I Have a Jagwaaar estate, it does the job in relative comfort, The Bug plans seem to have died a death at the moment due to a very poor choice out there at the moment.
Oh if anyone fancies a laugh and wants to find out how little someone will pay for your car try webuyanycar dot com.
they will tell you your car is worth waaaaay below book value and then try to knock you down on that and then bug the life out of you until you complain. i only looked as i was bored i'd never trade in my own cars. (admitedly i do trade the wifes cars because she's not interested so why should i do it?)0 -

Did you buy that from a bloke in Gloucestershire about 5 years ago?
Looks just like the one I went to have a look at, had a full over the screen roof rack and a hydraulic winch when I saw it though, but no cage.0 -
I'm a little bit jealous of that truck, but I love my S3 and I could never really replace it...0

No, I've had it for over 10 years, I got it direct from the dealer who bought a job lot from SWEB. There were several being sold at the time, some like mine with almost new 200TDi engines!

Unfortunately thats too true, I'd be a lot better off if I was only allowed one car at a time. Currently only 3 but it has been lots at times. 5 Land Rovers not long ago and 2 were V8s and thats before you get to the Minis.
At least the Bike stash is sensible, just my two, eldest sons two, wifes one, youngest sons one and about 4 part bikes in mother-in-laws shed
