Hamstrings - 'bubbles' under the skin...

The back of my hamstrings are full of what feels like small lumps or bubbles under the skin. You can feel them during massage. I've been told before that they are accumulated lactic acid, but am unsure.

I'm not very good at warming up, cooling down or stretching.

I've never kept up enough of a massage routine to know if massage removes them, nor do I really know if they are any hinderence.

Does anyone else have them or know anything about them?

Doubt they are accumulated lactic acid as it doesnt actually exist more than momentarily before being buffered to lactate. Lumps and bumps in muscle tissure could be scars after injury, or they are scars in the skin that appear to be in the muscle. Might be worth a second opinion from a medical professional.....

Yes, I have that too and my massage therapist tells me they're quite common in hamstrings. Apparently, its just a result of the way hamstrings hold tension and small knots, so nothing to be worried about. Regular massage does sort things out.
