So you've called someone a troll and someone else "an angry man venting on whomever he pleases."

I'm reminded of the quote about Kissinger, satire died the day they awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize...

And (though you've chosen to ignore this point the first two times I made it, so lord knows why I'm doing it again) you seem to be drawing conclusions about these two people without knowing them. How does that work?

Plus FF is apparently a 'Loser'. Funny enough I DO know FF (unlike Dennis), and last time I saw him he was lolling in a bath of Champagne in a 7 star hotel in Dubai with Latetia Casta, Monica Bellucci and a Colnago C59, lighting Montecristo cigars with $1000 notes to celebrate his own Nobel Prize (for Chemistry).

Some people have a funny definition of 'Losing'.

I don't know if he's a loser or not. Don't even care. I'm simply playing his name calling game on him. He can say pretty much what he wants to about other people so I feel free to say whatever I care to say about him. What's the problem in that? Or is he so special that no one may critisize him?

He is who he is, and that's just fine with me. You, however, don't seem to be able to deal with it and want him to be someone other than who he is. Sorry about your luck and to be honest I love the idea that someone you don't know, haven't met, never seen in person, wouldn't know him if you did see him, and don't really have a clue about who he really is, can get you all worked up. Funny stuff(to me).

So basically, you've just admitted that you're a hypocrite. Glad we have that one sorted out.

Are you saying he takes his bike into the bath with him? What a weirdo. The most amusing idea here is that Lateita Casta and Monica Bellucci are irresistably attracted to chemists. I'm guessing you're a chemistry graduate.

No, but even I'm not deluded enough to think they'd jump in a bath with an economist....

Hypocrite? Me? Hell yes. Is that a problem on this forum? We're all hypocrites in one way or another. C'mon now, answer my question, is he so special that you and I can't lay a little of his own people bashing on him? He may think he's Mr. Perfect but for some reason I have my doubts.
And is there really anyone out there who Isn't familiar with his posts of the last few years? And after reading them can honestly say "Gee, what a great guy"? Anyone?

I agree, FF can be a bit of a tit at times. But the point you are expertly ignoring is that you're the one who started laying into him after saying we shouldn't judge people we didn't know in real life. Some of the time you come up with very good points Dennis, but you are the most maddeningly inconsistent poster on these forums.

I think the point you're ignoring is that I'm not judging FF. I have a few opinions. How can one not have opinions? FF has opinions and voices them somewhat loudly and somewhat often and doesn't seem to care what he says about someone. So look on me as simply dumping back on him. Not that it will do any good but I'd still like to know why he is above criticism? Why would anyone defend FF against someone doing him like he does others? And if need be I can give plenty of examples of his "style" of talking about
various people. I suppose maybe I'm taking up the cause of all these people that he claims to have intimate knowledge of, and in the end all he's got is some pictures(that other people took) and a few books on cycling. It's not good enough "stuff" to come down on people with, especially with the righteous attitude that he presents.

Why are you even talking about Frenchfighter. The point is not about Frenchfighter. The point is you have said on many, many occasions that you can't judge someone based on what you read the internet, and then you've gone and done exactly that.

You say "How can one not have opinions?" That is exactly the point. Everything written on this forum is an opinion, nothing more. Your opinion of Frenchfighter based on this thread alone is that's he's a "loser, big time". That's your opinion and you have every right to have it. But based on what you've said in the past, it's an extremely hypocritical stance to take.

Now, can anyone else recommend a nice big brick wall I can go and bang my head against?

I respectfully disagree - judging him is exactly what you are doing. It baffles me that you can't see that.

If he's won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry he's more likely to be a biologist than a chemist these days!

Wow. I stopped clicking on this thread after dennis and co appeared and it was clear there would be no discussion about the original post.

I clicked on it today because there isn't a whole lot of new topics of interest and have never seen so many references to my name.

I'm glad there are rational posters among the others on here who are unsurprisingly the ones whose comments and opinions I am interested in in other threads as they are obviously knowledgeable, care about cycling and are not prone to say dodgy things. They know who they are.

    No further comment, merci.

For the others, here is Denise Lewis in Etape Hibernia, a mass participation 82 mile cycle ride on closed roads, in County Clare, Ireland August 22, 2010

Stop b*llshitting you more than likely have been following this thread all along and now you have one or two actually think you are some sort of knowledgeable cycling sage you have decided to jump back in again............entirely predictable.
