Etape Du Dales - Training

Fancy having a crack at the Etape Du Dales next year having had a look at the route profile it looks fairly brutal.
With over 10,000ft of ascent I've got a healthy respect for this event and realise I'm going to have to put in a decent bit of preparation over the winter to be in a good shape for it.
Background is I'm based in Yorkshire and willing to travel for a couple of hours so Derbyshire, Lakes even Wales would be options.
I'm a middle of the pack fell runner so got a reasonable level of base fitness.
I was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of a hitlist of decent routes to stand me in good stead in my build up to the event.
Happy to get out and tick these off in the winter months under my own steam.
