Didn't kill it, but I ran over a green mamba snake once.... about 10 minutes after missing a puff adder by just a couple of inches.

    In Sheffield?????

When I was younger in my Dad's car we ran over a cat, just saw its eyes and then the double bump. Broke my heart! Still makes me sad thinking about it today, and it's easily 25 years ago.

I played the part in the death of a dog in Kentucky last year.. Was riding past a house on the left side of the road on a busy road going downhill when two dogs in the front garden started chasing me along on their side. When they got to the end of the pavement one stopped, but the other ran straight into the road, missing the first side of traffic but running under the wheel of an overtaking pickup / trailer. The sad thing was when I looked back further up the road, the other dog had since walked into the road and was nosing around it's dead friend.. : (
  • Got out of the car once we'd been installed in the Eurotunnel train, to find the front forks of my bike on top of the car were covered in blood and feathers.

Not sure which type of bird it was that had mis-timed its pass across the autoroute...
