Go for it Cheesey. If that's the bike you fancy, why not? Ducatis are a lot more reliable than they used to be. A mate of mine races a 1098 and it's been faultless. Hasn't stopped him binning it mind you, but mechanically and electrically it's been faultless.
I'm looking to get a cheapish ZX7R turn of the year to have as a little project. Can't wait, I really miss having a motorbike and hopefully the finances should allow for one by the new year. Been doodling paint schemes already...Happy trails.0 -
Very nice what you think of the vmax?0

BAH to the BMW (I reckon Surfmatt's back )
Been clocked at over 160mph riding pillion through a speed trap. (not a police speed trap, I should add )

Mate of mine had the bimota said i could ride it brought it out for me to try, went out to try it and it wouldnt run/idle, never saw it after that went back to the shop never to be seen again :roll:0 -
Part of me thinks "fcuk yeah!", but then the other part of me thinks that people will just point and laugh and say "there goes a bald, old man with a small banger".

Perhaps a Vyrus is more to Sir's liking?

That looks like it's part of Jay Leno's Tank Car.
Kind of like a retro batpod.0 -
That Shinya bike is class!
When I win the lottery, a Vyrus is on my shopping list. Maybe two. They're flapping awesome. I saw one at Goodwood a few years back and the finish and machining are mental. The Confederate Wraith is also a fantastic looking bike, heavy front end apparently, but when it looks like that who gives a frock?Happy trails.0 -
Only one bike to consider....................KTM superduke R!
Brutal but awesome good fun!!Specialized S Works Venge
Argon18 E114
Specialized Langster Single Speed
Scott Spark Expert 29'er
GT Avalanche

My choices on todays roads would be
Aprilia Dorsoduro
http://www.aprilia.com/en-US/Model/35/DORSODURO+750/Overview.aspx
Ducati Hypermotoard if they sorted those stupid mirrors out it's like trying to filter with panniers on.
Truimph Street Triple.
Sports bikes take too much to get the best out of them great on race track but not as much fun on the road. Big supermoto's can be great fun in any road in any condition.0 -
Cheers for all the input guys - been most helpful...... still in the 'dream manuals' phase checking things out......
I love the street triple.... theres a Triumph place near me..... will check out.
