Silly Commuter Clique

A group in this forum have been accused of being in an exclusive clique.

So i ask:

What clique?
Who is in this clique?
How do you get into this clique?

Can anyone be a member?

Am I in this clique but simply didn't know?

It'd be great if some of the naysayers actually named who they thought was in 'da clique'....

Writers block... trying to make myself angry that's when I do my best work.

Lozza? I may just turn up to the Morpeth to hear you say that with a posh accent....

Edit: I've editted this so many times.

Yeah you're right, I'm not in it.... ah well.

  • I would struggle to avoid saying it in a posh accent, seeing as I have one.

However, I'd probably put on an aussie one for saying Lozza, Lozza.

Exclusive? Don't think so.. off-putting, perhaps... Some folk may find it unfriendly to read/participate in a forum where everyone seems to know everyone else.

    See earlier post.
Am I in this clique but simply didn't know?

    Yes, of course! D'uh!
It'd be great if some of the naysayers actually named who they thought was in 'da clique'....

What naysayers? Anyway, it doesn't work like that... I'm obviously "in", but I'm not part of the inner circle- never been to the Morpeth, for example. There are degrees of "in-ness". It's an online forum, not a girls school...

Who's names do you know? Who's avatars do you recognise? Who would you feel comfortable referring to in a post, 'cos the readers would know who you meant? They are "in"...

    Cheers,
    W.

That makes absolutely no sense and those people either need to learn what a forum is or not use the internet for social reasons.

A forum is an online community, by definition there will be people who know each other. If you use a forum more than once chances are you will become familiar with someone, that's part of its purpose over and above the subject the forum is based around.

This concept has been around for over a decade.]
    Yes, of course! D'uh!

Clever Pun says no, but maybe he means the real world. Should 'they' stop enjoying each others company in the real world for the fear that they'll be called a clique in the online one. I just like to think they're a group of friends and that is somewhat refreshing to see.

Well if there is a clique there has to undoubtably be naysayers. "Pick your group say the oath". As for the inner-circle, Coucil of Cycling Jedi's I'm telling you!

    Am I in the clique?
I've been to the Morpeth, I've been to the Roebuck, I know how tall (or not) Cafewanda is, I've seen LiT out on the road and I have a forumeer's phone number.
If it takes more than that to be in the clique, I wonder what it takes?

I've even raised DDD's hackles just for the fun of getting him wound up, I really enjoyed that (oh how I laughed).

I'm not in the clique; not based in London. I'd have a chance of getting in if I moved back though!
