I'm considering buying some Day Glo Hybrid Waterproof trousers for my 55 min 2 mile commute to my dungeon / place of work.

I hope this is the right place to come for some proper advice - can anyone recommend any really tight TIGHT and completely (I MEAN COMPLETELY) waterproof pants that are suitably Day Glo for me to wear over summer?

Also

I've been told that going Commando was a good idea to prevent chaffing - by a so-called "expert" on another forum..... I ship out to Helmand next month - great advice that was.

Thought about posting this in "Commuter Dull as Feck" but no-one was there....

I can't imagine why - personally I want to hang out talking serious stuff about panniers and mud guards with similar like minded people. Who can forget that classic Hub gear maint thread that reached almost two pages over several months of the summer of 2007?

    Anyone wearing trousers?

These are part of the Herman collection:

I think www.Hybrid4Nazis.com is selling them at a special discount price.

I got a PM from iamsomiserable. He/She said to wrap'em in cling film and then put butter on the outside of the cling film. They were really helpful, I even sent them a picture to make sure I was doing it right and they seemed extremely grateful!

Fairly sure these should do the trick.
    Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
    Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
    Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX

    Go on....

Liberating, roomy and unrestricted. It feels slighty wrong however and I feel the necessity to constantly check that the trouser zip is all the way up...which of course it always is. So far.

I also forgot socks so have black trousers and black shoes, seperated by some fetching short white socks with the word Litespeed around the top. I walk slowly so that the trousers stay firmly seated on the tops of the shoes.

    To the OP

I'm sorry you seem to have posted your question in the clique talking bollix forum rather than the serious forum for Spen.

I'll try to bring the thread back on topic.

Have you considered shaving your legs before applying several layers of yellow varnish?

You could apply an extra layer for the winter but I find that the goosebumps provide an aerodynamic advantage.

    See you on the roads

I'd post this in the "Serious" forum but would rather stick red hot acid drenched pins in my eyes....

Sturmey Archer Hub thread - now in its thirteenth great year and almost double figure views.

    Edited to add......

The perfectly sensibly remarked on http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12720433 thread was stolen from the bollix forum and posted to "Dull"....

    We should have rules here.....

If you don't weant anyone to comment on your thread post to dull.

if you do then post to Bollix -

You almost had him converted to the CAAD 9. Bikeradar must hold a stake in hybrids that's why, they dragged him away from us.

I bet the Morpeth numbers start to dwindle and then all of a sudden Castelli change their brand colors to Grey. By 2012 the World will begin to end.... Bikeradar will suddenly become Bikenet, the roadbike a dying breed, time trail bikes extinct as M.Cole sits laughing gloriously on a throne of disused track frames and LiT, Sailor chick and Livvy chained to him all dressed in Princess Leia's (slave girl) costume....

A nice cold hand on a warm pair of tight firm ones can often generate a good feeling though...

    DDD's thoughts in typed words...

"I can't decide if I like her or not, after all these years... amazing.

I mean I would, but I can't decide if I like her/.... perhaps she needs a bianchi...No! That would be too much, I couldn't handle it... Ok so yeah she's attractive."
