Did my first sufferfest vid on the turbo tonight  OMG those videos are brilliant.
For those that interval train on the turbo how many times a week do you do it?

I tend to do mine just once per week, mixed in with outdoor rides for the rest of the training week (another 3 sessions)
Outdoors (for me) at the moment is a touch warm (to say the least) and very humid, so a pain - but still more "realistic" than the turbo & Sufferfest.
I alternate between Revolver and Downward Spiral each time, to avoid too much complacency!
If you plan to do them more often, check the Sufferfest website for alternate approaches in how to use them to increase the variety.
I have used them for over/under training, hill climb efforts (stay in the same gear, increase the turbo resistance and lower the cadence) and the "standard" intervals.
Which one(s) did you get?

When at home, I use my turbo maybe once per week.
When at work I'll use a gym bike almost everyday!!Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
I got them all, I did the fight club one last night. I can't get out tonight so thought I'd do another one tonight. Then I can get outdoors for the rest of the week,Level 3 Road & Time Trial Coach, Level 2 Track Coach.

Don't do intervals twice in succession!... You'll beat yourself up, then struggle to recover...
I wouldn't do more than twice a week, with at least one day between them...
If you rode hard enough yesterday, you shouldn't really feel like doing them again tonight.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Its peeing it down and I am desperate to get back on the bike. Hubby won't finish work till its dark....Level 3 Road & Time Trial Coach, Level 2 Track Coach.

If you can do them 2 days in succession then you're probably not doing them rightMore problems but still living....0

Well I did the revolver one.. which was very different to Fight club and I found it much harder... I didn't enjoy it as much though I'll be honest. I can feel it today though.
It wasn't really about doing a second lot of hard training more about getting my fittness up, so I did it moderately. Meaning I pushed myself but not to the limit.
Spending time on the bike when I can't get out is helping me get my weight down and improve my fitness.Level 3 Road & Time Trial Coach, Level 2 Track Coach.

Whatfore then is this sufferfest? Is it linked to your turbo or do you just watch it?The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

If he had enough in him to set the record on his second, successive day, maybe he hadn't tried hard enough on the frst attempt!!!
