    I think so too. Might make a nice commuter. I've not used hub gears since my Grifter.

    I commute on a Kona Jake the Snake 2009 and I initially had problems with the brakes. It turned out just to be that the stock brake pads supplied were worse than useless. I just changed the pads all round and they are now fine albeit not quite as good as the V brakes on my hybrid but not far away. Would highly recommend the Kona for commuting/touring. It has lugs for a rack, it can take wider tyres for winter riding, and it has interrupter levers on the top bar so you don't have to be on the hoods to brake - useful for weaving through traffic on your commute
