    I love the Shimano shifters too though. Shifting like it's meant to be, not silly push/push. Although with XT, you can do it that way if you really want.

    i had xt on my trance x, they were very good but i deffo prefer sram shifting

    unfortunately this exact thing happened to my carbon X0, snapped the carbon jockey hanger in half

    I hit my X0 mech on a rock so hard, at about 15mph, that I (and the bike) was lifted into the air. I was sure I'd destroyed it so didn't want to look back or try pedalling in case it really was!

    As it happens, it was fine. Somehow! :shock:

  • Scratch my last comment, I just killed my Saint mech :cry:

    I can't bear forking out another ton for a rear mech, so late last night I got all my broken mechs together and worked out that I could build a complete mech form the bits. I've now got a hybrid, XTR top half with Saint medium cage! Can't decide which jockey wheels to run though!
