    FACT

Also, I must confess I had a Cadburys Wholenut too.

    Should Cadburys have an apostrophe?
It depends how many of them there are. If the whole family is present, I'd say no.

Would the number of Cadburys present not just determine the correct location of the apostrophe?

Then it would be Cadburys'. It should be Cadbury, without any apostrophe - a Cadbury Wholenut. We don't say a Ford's Escort.

It sure would! I'd say it was Cadbury's, rather like Sainsbury's, in that it was (presumably) one Mr Cadbury who first had the idea of the chocolate brand.

However, if it was in fact a committee of Cadburys, then it'd theoretically be Cadburys', or 'the Cadburys''

I think the former is more likely.

Reports from my colleague doing the Etape when I asked him about the Coke he drank were:

"I was sceptical and as you say I seen folk on the Tour using it. It sure worked for me. My sports therapist absolutely says NO! It saved me I can tell you."

This guy is a serious endurance athelete so I take on-board what he says. The fact that we both work in the field of diabetes and therefore have a better understanding of sugar uptake than average, helps a bit too.

Mmm. 10 teaspoons of sugar and a dash of caffeine in a little red can. Ni-ice.

Your body will crash. Whether this is as bad a comedown after cocaine is, however, unlikely.

If you drink too much coke while sitting around watching TV then you MIGHT experience a crash. If you're riding a 100 mile mountain stage in the Tour you will NOT experience a crash from the sugar.

    Really? Explain!

If you had ridden bike more than 5 miles back and forth to work I wouldn't have to.

How about a 180-mile tour of Norfolk? Or a 250 mile tour around Normandy? Or a long weekend of cycling in Wales? Or more 60m+ rides than I can count? Do any of those convince you to deign me worthy of a response?

    No.

Well now you're just the lovely, helpful, friendly sort that makes this forum so welcoming.

Just plain Cadbury I'm afraid. I checked it on their website

    Oooh a rebranding then, maybe.

I'm sure there used to be a jingle for a biscuit that said 'Cadbury's Dairy Milk'...

It would seem that I had a Cadbury Dairy Milk Wholenut, the original Wholenut having been rebranded under the Dairy Milk umbrella

    No they wont.
The above is a post in a forum on the Intertubes, and should be taken with the appropriate amount of seriousness.
