Bit of a vague question but can anyone recommend that is cheap that would be good for climbing training? Thinking about a two or three week break.
Not that bothered about sight seeing or anything, just want to ride, eat, sleep, but good weather is a must.

cant guarantee good weather if its hilly - you cn get snow in the Alps in July.
Easyjet to Geneva was v cheap and Easycar from there dirt cheap and then an alpine hotel on Alpe d'Huez a bargain out of season.0 -
El Cheapo hotel/apartment in Palma Nova. Flights are cheap too. Unless you head to Palma it's a climb out every day. Head out towards Calvia & within an hour or so your in the mountains.
Mallorca is a bit of a cliche in some respects & there are equally as good places to ride but it has everything a cyclist needs. Trouble is it's almost too hot at this time of year.0 -

if your goal is to become a better climber, then save your money and just work on improving your CV system on your local roads, or your turbo trainer. You don't really need to train on hills to ride up hills better....0

Anywhere round the med at this time of year is hot! Try Drome area i northern Provence - or Vercors area just north. Hot days cooler nights, hills a plenty....0
