Hi guys
I got back into cycling properly again, after a pretty successful career as a juve/junior before a big accident stopped all that professional nonsense. Anyway, I know train hard on my own but i always find after 10 miles or so i have to pull over and throw up, usually after a climb or extended exertion. Once im back on the bike i feel mega and can go for another 50km or so.
I never used to do this, I drink plenty (i think) eat well before hand and not immediately before i head out. Any ideas guys?

Chris as suggested try not to go so full out within the first 10 miles and warm up gradually.0

Eat your roast dinners after your ride? The British Empire never died, it just moved to the Velodrome0

Check down your shorts, your manhood seems have dropped off, you big girl. Sean Yates once puked on a training ride, rode back, scooped it up and took it home for tea.....just so he could shat it out.The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
That doesn't seem normal in any way - I'd go see the Docs if I was you0

Thanks guys, I kind of figured should warm up better, longer.
Cleat Eastwood, I'll bear that in mind for the future! Also what a disturbing avatar!0 -
One of my clubmates uses the Puke or No Puke as a gauge of his effort in a 10. As far as I know he is perfectly healthy, at least physically.0

It's different for everyone, I find when first starting out on a ride, I have to mix taking it easy and doing hard bursts or I never warm up.
I nearly throw up in a morning but before a ride.0 -
Cycling hard with a belly ful lof food is a daft idea in my opinion. Dont eat so much so close to your ride, warm up steadily and if it happens often see a doctor would be my advice.0

Thanks guys. How long do you leave after you've had food? I normally gave porridge and fruit the go out about 45/60 mins later.0

I've never thrown up on a ride. Or after one. Am I trying hard enough?0
