Being drunk and Irish doesn't make him wrong. Perhaps one day Cav will see the funny side of it (not expecting that to be any time soon).

Cervello and Lampre did a job of work on Cav's train yesterday. Reaching the top is nowhere near as hard as staying there.

No this guy on the wheelers forum called Crazy Pete shouted something like "Get a move on yer fat B@stard" and apparently cav looked round giving to evils.

I was not there, perhaps that is why he quickly put his pen away cause he did not want to sign a wheelers shirt as he was angry at what one person says.

Then apparently cav is calling some people "light deprived forum users" probably replying to us on the wheelers forums and that..

Tbh I think Crazy Pete was abit tipsy, he was drinking plenty of Guinness, I had one pint.

It's annoying how people can get p155ed at a whole club just cause of one persons action.

LOL, yeah cos Cav reads the Wheelers forum doesn't he.....

The Forum users comment comes from an interview given some weeks ago...

In a similar vein, he rails against "sunlight-deprived people" who pass themselves off as experts in blogs and internet forums, before drawing the conclusion that, "If anyone's so shallow and so narrow minded that they want to assume they know my personality (based on the] 30 seconds they see straight after a bike race – which they've got no clue what it's like to be in – then those people aren't worth worrying about, or what they think of me."

I was basing my post of what someone said on another forum, it is clear he is not talking about any wheelers.

Course he reads the wheelers forum, I bet it's in his bookmarks on his favourite web browser which I reckon is IE8.

I can't remember anyone so emotional. Shows the pressure he's been feeling and how much it all means to him. Also in his interview he said the team worked hard yesterday and he let them down so a bit of humble pie for those that say he can't admit he messed up. Also a word for Renshaw who did a brilliant job despite the intimidation from Thor. A great sprinter in his own right who's happy to help his team mate take the glory.

Cav's the fkin man. Nice one today. Shows he cares, he's commited, he loves the sport, he's humble, he knows what his team mates go through, he's passionate and hell, he's fast. Very proud of our man today. Keep at it son.

Can't say I agree with that. Before the review post race I couldn't believe how relentless it was. It seems that because it's not his own train that everybody is doing their damndest to make sure HTC can't keep the best wheel. Freire and Renshaw were continuously all over each other. It seemed Freire had the better position on the end of the Garmin trio and yet Renshaw held it, only for Thor to then come along and have a go at him aswell. Strong, strong riding by Renshaw.

EBH put in a decent burst aswell.

I thought it was worth highlighting, just to show what goes on in a bunch sprint. Remember a lot of ITV viewers are casual viewers. There weren't too many other highlights to show today.

While we're on the topic of sprint shenanigans, can I recommend a video that Cosmo Catalano, of whom I'm a fan, posted on his blog about the rules and etiquette of sprinting.
