I hope you saved your corona bottles for the returns deposit... Life was so much simpler then wasn't it (unless you were a miner obviously, or liked using electricity all week/ all day!)0

For some reason, I remember my grandma's kitchen vividly. She was always baking rock buns and saffron buns, even though they never appealed to me as a child. I can remember all the crockery in her kitchen, the wallpaper, the furniture, and the delicious smell of her kitchen, even though it was back in the 1970s.
Ahhhh Tutti Frutti - thanks for bringing back the memories !!! I loved those things! - especially the dark purple ones.... I'd love to get my hands on some of those...
...also, does anyone remember Cadbury's Spiras - they were good too, but don't see them around anymore..0 -
Wow yes, spiras.
I too remember ALpine lemonade, the tops used to have a little red rubber ring in that you could prize out and....well....do absolutely nothing with.

Me and my sister used to love these soft shrimps (image from aquarterof.com). I'm sure there was also something similar called Seafood Platter that rendered various fruits de mer in the form of upholstery foam & sugar!

My missus won't let me make mince and tatties for tea. I must have had that every week from the age of 3-18. That's a hell of a lot of cow and root vegetable.
I have trained her to eat square sausage, but I've not conviced her that black pudding is essential in a breakie.
