Okay, this is a bit of a nooby question, but when whilst cycling when do you actually lose weight? Is it during the cycling itself, or during recovery?

Weight loss happens 24 hours a day. You are constantly burning calories and 'losing' weight. When you eat - you replenish that weight.
So - while cycling you are burning extra calories. If you don't fully replenish all of them then you will lose weight (simplistic explanation).0
