Don't buy a kickstand, please!
Also the tora is the better fork, but can be had much cheaper elsewhere, on one for instance.
And hybrid tyres? what sort of riding do you do?0 -
-
i cycle on the road at the mo i have off road tyres on which dont really get used for off roading so once they are worn hybreed tyres will be on asap
oh ok what if i change the stem of the handle bar to work with that suspension?PROUD AMMACO MATTERHORN OWNER SINCE 20090 -
It's not the stem that won't work with it, it's the frame.
These, as far as I'm aware are the only forks that will fit. - http://www.windwave.co.uk/windwave/9105801S.html0 -
thanks mate do you know if a cycle shop could get me one in if i wanted it?PROUD AMMACO MATTERHORN OWNER SINCE 20090

Love the mirrors they're ace. Where did you get the Rockstar energy drink stickers from please, they'd look great on my stabilisers.
Yeah maybe you could match them with your bling anodised (blue) rotor bolts.See to me thats well chavy so let him do his thing. :x0 -
decided im only gonna upgrade my tyres as i dont really abuse my bike and i only do road riding so some hybride tyres is problably the only upgrade i will do as the current suspension i have which are low budget and unbranded do the trick for london roads thanks for the info allPROUD AMMACO MATTERHORN OWNER SINCE 20090

Bit of a waste if you only do town cycling. You'd be better keeping the money to one side and saving up for a proper* mountain bike in the future if you're interested.
*not trying to be nasty or owt. I started out on a bike just like that, but there's a world of difference between those bikes and something with a Rock Shox or Suntour fork on.
If you're just doing road riding, you might be better off with slick tyres. They'll last longer, and you'll get less rolling resistance.
I'd advise against a kickstand. I had one and it just got bashed about all over the place and kept rubbing on the tyres or on the cranks, until one day it just collapsed under the weight of the bike.0 -
thanks chedabob yeah i have decided not to bother upgrading my suspension and jsut upgrade my tyres to hypride ones onces my off road tyres that came on my bike are worn outPROUD AMMACO MATTERHORN OWNER SINCE 20090

Why do you need a kick stand?
Where are you going to be leaving your bike stood up?0 -
hey i need to for when i store the bike in the garage or in the changing room at work or when i leave it on the street, because i have handle bar mirrors i cant lean the handlebars else the mirrors coould snap so i bought the stand so i can park it up in the garage or at work in the changing room or on the street and etc.PROUD AMMACO MATTERHORN OWNER SINCE 20090

I fear we may have derailed this thread slightly. I'm going to go now (I may see if I can find a suitably good crotch to hit my self in the face with).
OP, good luck with your kickstand and stuff.0 -

Thanks, I'm aware of what a kickstand looks like. Was wanting to see it fitted to the bike though. Does it fit as well in real life? How well does it support the bike? Was it easy to fit? Does it look out of place?0 -
