Any one ridden from Hurley > Henley? Going down White hill should be fun, going back up might be a bit tougher.

Just wondered if anyones ridden it?

Yes, the bl***y lights on the bridge are always red! The climb up is steady so pick your gear and go.

Remenham Hill is a busy road - instead of climbing up it, turn left after crossing the bridge out of Henley, down Remenham Lane and up Aston Lane - much better climb, on country roads, so much quieter. It brings you out more or less at the top of the hill anyway...

It's pretty fast descent, I've done 46mph down it but there is nearly always traffic at the bottom and cars coming out from the Wargrave turn so watch out for those. I agree with Softlad, for the ascent turn left at the Little Angel pub and follow the lane along and either branch right just before Remenham church (steep to start but then eases) or carry on past the church and continue up Aston Lane (more consistant). They both take you to the undulating top of Remenham hill.

    Hopefully wasnt a forumite!
  • When turning left after going over Henley Bridge watch out for the Stones/Pebbles prior to getting to Remenham Hill it's like Brighton beach, follow the tyre tracks for a non puncture ride.

Might have been me...I cycled out to Henley and back from London to watch the regatta last year and remember it being hard work on the way home after baking out in the sun all day.
