Disc brake mounts too narrow eek!

Cutting to the chase...

Brought new sus forks to upgrade my bike and overlooked the brake mount dimensions. The mounting holes on the Recon Race forks are 60mm apart but the no frills Tektro Novela disc brakes on my bike have the mount holes further apart. Recons were a bargain at £180 so I'm feeling a bit silly now :lol:

Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem other than buying new brakes? Some kind of spacers?

    You'll need a disc brake adaptor, See page 3 below, your LBS should be able to match up one to suit.

    Found that Hayes do mount adaptors to sort this problem. In the words of Alan Partridge; Lovely stuff.
