I've just been "surprised" :o by my other half who has had his very hairy legs waxed at the my local beauty salon. Looking a bit like Chicken legs at the moment but he does assure me that with our forthcoming touring holiday they will look bronzed and muscular. I do hope so :) Do many men undergo this pain?

Hot bath, shave down toward the ankles.

Be smooooth, and try not to cut your femoral artery.

Itches a bit after a few days but nothing as bad as a dose of crabs...so I'm told.

I waxed a couple of weeks ago.
The jury is out but I don't think I'll do it again - it's very aggressive on the skin.
    Back to shaving for me!

I don't ... yes I will regret it when I come off and rip my legs to bits, but I have no desire to shave :)

I would wax out of preference but I too can find it a bit heavy on the skin when doing it myself. Therefore tend to shave as it's easier.

Pah! I trim my nasal hair with a band saw, cut my toenails in a mincer and scrape my tongue clean by throwing myself off the bike at 35 mph and licking the tarmac for 40 yards.

    I have seen that done!

Very hairy bloke, stripped, then wrapped like a 'mummy' in duct tape...

    Then peeled again, later

After lots of deliberation, i'm converted, sod shaving every three days. Got mine done a few weeks ago, fit bird waxes and then rubs some kind of lotion in. Pain and pleasure in one sitting :)

Any video of that? I love to hear people scream.
What was that movie? 40 Year Old Virgin? Where the guy got his chest waxed.

My legs look as though they're waxed though they aren't. God knows what happened to them - I know my shin pads as a teenager seem to pluck my leg hairs - maybe screwed the folicles. It's only my legs that are like this too. Still, I look like a professional cyclist without the bother

I waxed for the first time a couple of weeks ago as my other half told me it would last longer.Wow never had so much pain in my life and to top it off the hair started growing again after just 3 days.
I'm now usign a razor and it last just as long but without the pain.

Nah going to a beauty parlour to get it done definitely isn't normal. The only civilised way is using a philips bodygroom while watching TV, preferably while something manly is on like cage fighting or chuck norris.

What is the MPH gain after shaving? If I 'm going to go through that much effort it better be worth it.

Depends on your speed I guess ... if that makes sense. With hairly legs at 40 kph, you would go at 4`.9 kph with shaved legs.

??? Who said anything about shaving your legs making you faster??

I've heard all kinds of justifications for it, but being quicker isn't one of them. :?
